These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of theliubai.com (the "Site") operated by LIUBAI Studio ("LIUBAI", "we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms.
Except for artworks explicitly offered for sale (see Section 3), the artworks, editions, and prices shown on the Site are concept pieces currently in development. Submitting a Founding Collector or waitlist form is an expression of interest only; it does not constitute a purchase, reservation, or binding offer, and no payment is taken for it.
First Light is available to purchase as a museum-grade giclée print. When you complete checkout, you are placing a binding order and payment is taken in full at that time through PayPal. Whichever market you order from, the price shown at checkout is the total you pay, with nothing further to pay on delivery.
United States. Orders placed at theliubai.com/collect/us are printed in the United States by our production partner and shipped domestically, so there is no import and no customs charge. A flat shipping rate of US$15 is added at checkout. Prices are shown and charged in US dollars. US canvases are supplied rolled and unframed; the frame shown in photographs on the Site is for scale and is not included.
United Arab Emirates. Shipping across the UAE is free and all import duties and taxes are included. Prices are displayed in AED for convenience and charged in US dollars; as the dirham is pegged to the US dollar, the amount is effectively the same, though your card issuer may apply its own foreign-transaction fee. Both unframed prints and a gallery-framed finish are available.
Made to order. Each print is produced individually for you after your order is placed. We aim to dispatch and deliver within 2-3 weeks. Occasionally production or carrier delays extend this; if that happens we will keep you informed, and you may cancel for a full refund at any point before your order has shipped.
Cancellations. You may cancel for a full refund at any time before your order ships. Because each piece is made to order, we cannot cancel an order once it has entered production and shipped. Approved cancellation refunds are issued to your original PayPal payment method, normally within 5-10 business days.
Changing your mind, in the United States. Once a piece has shipped it can no longer be cancelled, but it can be returned. Orders placed at theliubai.com/collect/us may be sent back for any reason within 30 days of delivery. Write to ruiqing@theliubai.com within that window and we will send you a return address. Hang it first; that is what the 30 days are for. The canvas travels back as it came: rolled, unmarked, in the tube it arrived in. One that has been trimmed, mounted, stretched, or framed can no longer be returned. Return shipping is at your cost, and the US$15 shipping charged at checkout is not refunded. Once the piece reaches us we refund its price in full to your original PayPal payment method, normally within 5-10 business days. If it arrived damaged or not as described, the paragraph below applies instead and the cost is ours. This window covers US orders only. Orders placed in the United Arab Emirates are covered by the cancellation and damage terms above and below, since the UAE offer includes gallery framing and a framed piece cannot travel back rolled.
Damaged or faulty pieces. If your print arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, contact us within 14 days of delivery at ruiqing@theliubai.com and we will arrange a replacement at no cost to you, including any return and re-delivery costs. This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
Where we ship. First Light currently ships within the United States and across the United Arab Emirates. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to submit any form or otherwise interact with commercial features of the Site.
All content on the Site, including artwork imagery, interior renderings, editorial writing, and the LIUBAI name and mark, is owned by LIUBAI or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.
If you submit your email address, you consent to receive occasional communications from LIUBAI about the collection, previews, and the Founding Collectors program. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or writing to ruiqing@theliubai.com.
The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that any specific artwork will ultimately be produced or made available.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LIUBAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.
The Site may link to third-party services (such as Instagram or Pinterest). LIUBAI is not responsible for the content or practices of those services.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
